Sponsorship Opportunites:
Meet Curtis

Curtis is a resident of Saskatoon working as a local architect/ builder and father. With his partner Helen they pursued various adoption routes before adopting internationally. Prior to this they pursued local adoption, and adoption pursuits from Nunavut. The adoption journey encountered political barriers both internationally and locally, legal counsel issues, health expenditures issues, extended hospital visits, navigating accommodations, social worker requirements, funding requirements and numerous other uncertainties (missed flights and hurricanes) involved in the adoption process. The journey very akin to the amazing race television shows, with positive and negative experiences. They have adopted two girls currently aged 4 and 5, through a US adoption agency, from the same birth parents.

About The Evermore Centre

The Evermore Centre provides pre- and post-adoption support services, including consultation, education, resources and more. The Evermore Centre provides these supports and programs to adoptive families, adoptees, birth parents, birth families and professionals. When adoption becomes the plan for a child, The Evermore Centre believes the child’s best interests are met when families are well-equipped with a broad understanding of adoption and the issues that may arise along the journey. Knowing what resources are available to support the child throughout their life within an adoptive family is essential from the start.
